Self-amalgamating tape can be used to repair and protect against corrosion on hose and plastic and metal tubes

Main features:

• Very good electrical and physical properties the tape amalgamates quickly when applied under tension providing a void-free homogeneous wrapping without external heat
• Highly resistant to prolonged immersion in the water and has a very good resistance to ozone

Applications:

• Strip back the interleaving and stretch the tape to reduce its width by one third to keep the tape under tension and wrap over lapping successive layers by about 50%
• Finish the wrapping by holding the tape and snap by stretching
• High degree of stretching will prevent the inclusions of void and ensure a rapid self-amalgamation

Durability:

• Life of the tape exposed out of doors is expected to be several years
• If the tape will be subjected to abrasion an external covering by soft PVC tape is recommended
